Glycolysis

Click to view 3D molecules involved in Glycolysis.

One Glucose (sugar), together with two ATP and two ADP molecules produce two Pyruvate and four ATP molecules.

Glycolysis represents the most basic and primitive form of ATP production. If oxygen is around, the Mitochondrion becomes an ATP producing factory through the Cytric Acid Cycle.
